Clogged nozzle
Extrusion stops or becomes erratic; the extruder clicks or grinds and nothing comes out.
Needs tuning clog clogged nozzle no extrusion blocked
Likely causes
- Debris or burnt filament in the nozzle
- Heat creep softening filament above the melt zone
- Nozzle temperature too low for the speed
- Wet filament degrading
- Carbon-fibre or wood fill wearing a brass nozzle
How to fix it
- Do a cold pull (atomic pull): heat, insert filament, cool to ~90 °C, pull firmly.
- Replace the nozzle — they are consumables, not lifetime parts.
- Fix heat creep: check the hotend fan runs, and add thermal paste or an all-metal hotend upgrade.
- Raise temperature or slow down so the melt zone keeps up.
- Use a hardened nozzle for abrasive filaments.

The fastest path to a fix
Change one thing at a time and print a small test. Start with the first fix listed — it is the most common cause.
