TPU settings for the Prusa MINI+

A starting profile for printing TPU on the Prusa MINI+ (180 × 180 × 180 mm, open frame, Bowden). Tune from here with a temperature tower and a flow test.

Drying before use50 °C for 6 h

Bowden extruders struggle with flexible filament. Keep the retraction tiny, slow the print right down, and consider a direct-drive upgrade. TPU absorbs moisture. Dry it at 50 °C for 6 h before a long print.

Why these values

The Prusa MINI+ is a Bowden machine, so it needs longer retraction (around 5 mm) to relieve nozzle pressure. Its usable speed is around 80 mm/s, so the 25 mm/s above is within the comfortable range for this material.

Cooling is set to 30%: a middle setting balances surface quality against layer bonding.
